The main argument by the Democrats is the attack of democracy with President Biden accusing Republicans of attacking the foundation of democracy- the right to vote. The Republicans are attempting to change the rules in states to help them win the congressional elections in November 2022 and the presidential elections in 2024. The Republicans aim to tilt the local and state systems by allowing them to pass federal election laws to their advantage in the upcoming elections. Laws passed by the states allow partisan officials to interfere with elections and impose restrictions on the ballot. Robert’s article revolves around democracy, legislation, congress, election laws, parties, and problems on voting rights. The conflicting menace on voting rights is putting American democracy at risk. The issue of voting rights has always been a subject of debate, with the Democrats and Republicans battling their opinions. The Republican’s quest for voting rights restrictions in congress is selfish, un-American, and undemocratic. The Republicans are constantly spreading propaganda that elections were stolen in 2020 denying President Trump a chance, yet this ideology is not true. President Trump did not win the 2020 elections since numerous counts were done in states for instance, in Arizona but still, he never won. Republicans are pushing for restrictions and changes in the election laws to their favor, believing that President Trump was denied victory. The numerous Republicans’ push for shutdown and restrictions on voting rights is selfish and done for self-satisfaction. The steps taken by Republican congressmen and the states on election laws are antidemocratic....
