Abstract

Preemptive war The non-intervention was a significant venture for the American government, considering that the world war's happenings were almost fatal at the point that the United States decided to enter into war. Sentimental attachments to any foreign nations tend to lead to unrealistic ideas. Such tends to promote the U.S government into involvement in wars that are usually unrelated to its real interests. The founding presidents meant the philosophy of non-intervention to reflect peace, commerce, and honest friendship with all nations, entangling alliances with no nations (Corbett et al., 2017). It was, therefore, for the U.S government to pursue the policy of non-intervention. America had an issue with the Negros in the south around that time, and therefore, America would not have justified the withdrawal of participation in the 1936 Olympics. America believes in democracy, and by the summer of 1936, there was no democracy in Germany, considering that Berlin was the center of a brutal dictatorship (Physick, 2017). It was around that time that political opponents in Germany were persecuted, murdered, or locked up. America asked, Shouldn't have the International Olympic Committee considered relocating the Olympic Games through such heinous acts? Representatives sent to access the environment were not for the idea of the boycott, and that is why they gave contradicting information (Stout, 2020), meaning that Hitler and had his admirers. Back in the U.S, things were not so different either. The United States of America had agreed to remain an outside influence when the war broke in Europe unless directly threatened or attacked. The fact was that America had not settled on the turmoil of WWI. Therefore, the big question was, was the United States military ready for another war?
