The new government stirred feud among the Texas who revolted against it. The conflict was influenced by the Texas Declaration of Independence and the siege of the Alamo. The movement of people to Texas was an attraction of land and opportunity. The Mexicans wanted to seize the North, compelling them to establish colonization laws against the Texans. The Batte of the Alamo between the Mexican Army and the Texan troops resulted in significant loss of lives. Still, the attainment of victory for Texas resulted in the achievement of their independence.
