Abstract
Effect of Trump's Presidency on Racial Tension in the United States. The African Americans are significantly some of the Marginalized groups in the United States. Their quest for freedom and justice has been faced with uncertainty due to racial prejudice and segregation. The recent Trump Presidency has been one of the worst in protecting the rights and upholding justice for African Americans. President Trump proved to be dramatic and chaotic when administering his policies and making decisions. His decisions were biased and with an ill intention to alienate the African Americans and destroy what President Obama had restored. He also has an Animus history of discrimination against African Americans. According to (Freeman 2016), most individuals in his real estate have occasionally sued him for discrimination against the African Americans who rent his apartments. From discriminatory policies, racists intentions, abandonment of policies, and attack of the Obama administration provide an overview of how biased and chaotic the Trump administration has been and the racial tensions it has yielded in the country. Trump administration was pervasive. Rather than concentrating on the inherent and substantial policies, it was rooted in overturning President Obama’s initiatives and policies. His policies have negatively impacted African Americans. Due to numerous instances of racial profiling, Obama prompted an oversight of the local police department by the DOJ (n Department of Justice). The DOJ was removed during the Trump administration, thereby questioning his intentions on the issue. The republicans have always pushed the Voter ID laws during the Trump administration. The purpose of these laws shows President Trump's intent to disenfranchise African Americans. Policies put in place by Obama, such as National Initiative for Building Community Trust and Justice, have been abandoned. The program was to protect the marginalized groups and eliminate bias, discrimination, and racism of the United States citizens. This analogy shows President Trump's ferocious intent to alienate the marginalized communities. During President Trump's tenure, he attacked the Environmental Protection Agency to deprive African Americans of a clean environment. Most dumpsites in the United States are located in places African Americans reside. The Warren County PCB landfill disaster prompted a General Accounting Office study that found hazardous waste landfills throughout the South were disproportionately located in African American communities (Clayton et al. 721). Trump stirs racial biasedness by embracing environmental racism, which President Obama worked for; the African Americans are deemed to face air pollution, soil contamination, and water pollution due to the environmental policy refuted by the Trump Administration. Trump's election has sparked racism all over the United States. President Obama is an American citizen by birth. Trump's unending drama on Obama’s birth certificates indicates prejudice against African Americans. Even though the White House released Obama’s legitimate birth certificate President Trump continued to dramatize the analogy. The Civil Rights guideline on the ‘Disparate Impact’ indicates President Trump's intention to disenfranchise marginalized groups. It laments that a person needs to prove the intention to discriminate. Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 of the constitution protects its citizens from discrimination and biasedness based on gender, sex, and race which president Trump is evading. The Desperate Impact makes it difficult to prove discrimination hence affecting Marginalized African Americans. Trump's reaction to the NFL players kneeling during the national anthem to mourn blacks' systematic lynchings depicts how racist he is. He calls the player's sons of bitches who should be fired. President Trump is depriving its citizens of their First Amendment rights and depicts hypocrisy and racist attributes he possesses. Police brutality against African Americans worsened in the Trump administration. The suffering and brutalized blacks faced...
