Abstract
Compare and Contrast Essay Introduction People differ in physical characteristics like looks and body size and in other defining aspects like personality, lifestyle, and religious preferences. Interestingly, even identical twins, whose physical appearance might be so similar to differentiate unless with close consideration, may differ in one way or another. Having an age-mate cousin, "Millie," with whom I share complexion, height, body size, and dressing code, I can confirm some interesting factors that differentiate her from me that I have come to learn about with age. Being an extrovert dealing with an introverted cousin, a Christian with a cousin whose love for Islam’s remains well-defined and a reggae lover hanging out with a soul / RnB fan spells a clear picture that greatly differentiates Millie from me. Personality defines the character, and I being a sanguine choleric have been the most interesting character that defines my real self, but Millie, a melancholic character, finds me weird and, thus, to some extent, urges me to try being a little bit controlled in life. Millie is my favorite cousin, and it's a routine to hang out together. However, my love to socialize and be in the company of other three or four friends makes Millie very uncomfortable. The last time at a tea joint with two other friends, I noticed Millie remained quiet throughout the tea session. After parting with the friends, she asked me why I kept talking while taking the tea, as if I did not understand that was bad table manners. While taking Millie's concerns politely, I responded that I did it consciously as I wanted to keep my friends busy though I knew my talkative nature led me to speak unconsciously even when there was no need for it. I really love Millie, but spending time with her alone is suicidal as she barely enquires or insists on any concern or clarifies anything, which I get best from other friends, but being in their company affects her satisfaction as she loves spending time alone or in my company without intrusion. Millie chooses to read story books or to go through her phone while in my company, especially when I have not introduced any topic of discussion and she seems so comfortable ad satisfied about it, while such vibes do not make any good on me. either a sin nor a crime to be social or antisocial, so I do not find anything weird about being an introvert while the other party is an extrovert. Even religion can make people differ regardless of their respect and value for each other. Religion is a choice one makes in life; thus, I am a Christian and Millie is a Muslim. hough brought up on a Christianity base, Millie shifted to Islam a few years ago after a long period of narrating her love for Islamic culture. As I narrate about my faith as a catholic, Millie always tells me about Allah and Mohammed, whom I have come to understand as the same God the Christians worship. Though not conversant with Islamic teaching like Millie is with Christian teaching, as I have experienced them since childhood, I try to pay attention to her concerns about religion to become knowledgeable. Attributing her listening skills to her introverted nature, Millie listens to my Christian tales and responds with Islamic insights that make our being together momentous. Though I love carrying the bible, Millie loves carrying both the bible and the Koran, citing that religion is a choice one makes and can choose to be anything. Millie, unlike me, does not miss getting into a church, claiming that the mosque gives her the spiritual satisfaction she needs though I miss getting into a mosque just for the experience. Other than religion, music preferences further differentiate Millie from me. Music is food for the soul, and I love for reggae music as it revives my moods regardless of my company, in contrast, Millie, a lover of soft souls...
