Executive Summary: Final Presentation Introduction to the Situation: VMI is an organization that has long enjoyed and prided with the "Southern Culture" in all its operations. For this reason, introducing technology into their operation not only seems like ignorance of their treasured culture but also a threat to the future quality of VMI products. The situation at VMI calls for a change to incorporate diversification in all their operations to cope with the competing global markets. Deployment of technology serves as a threat to VMI workers. The change is received with strong resistance as workers fear losing their jobs, lack defined skills to go digital, fear compromising the quality of VMI products in future and not sure of the future outcome of the change to their organization. Significant challenges of managing change at VMI include strong resistance, poor communication, Conflicts, poor training skills and internal politics. Problem Statement: To introduce change (deployment of technology) at VMI operations for practical realization of organizational performance now and in future. Solution: Resistance serves as the primary outcome of the introduced change at VMI can be best addressed through: Effective communication, Engagement of all staffs, Employment of practical leadership skills, Effective training on how to handle introduced change, Effective skills in managing internal politics and finally Effective selection of defined structural, technological and behavioral intervention strategies to manage all workers attitude towards change The goal of Presentation: To analyze the situation as VMI based on case study facts, to offer the most effective intervention strategies that can best address the noted situation at VMI, to provide a precise evaluation analysis concerning the noted challenges associated with change while expressing the contribution of all parties involved in VMI change process for the practical realization of success to be reached.
