Abstract
Attraction and Love The perception of attractiveness and love vary based a number of psychological, biological and even to some extent some cultural factors. To this effect, what I might find as attractive may differ significantly from another person’s preference due to a number of factors like physical appearance, personality, similarity and chemistry among others. Attraction to me comes along with a good appearance. Good physical appearance proves an obvious factor that speaks about the pleasing nature of anything including people. I do not want to be hypocritical saying that an ugly look can attract me and draw me closer to such a person especially with the opposite gender when love need to take control. I can confirm that my perception of attractiveness is greatly influenced by the physical attributes like facial proportion, symmetry and skin tone among others. Other than the physical attributes personality also influence my perception of attractiveness. Humor, confidence, kindness and positive outlook also makes a person more appealing to me. There are people that are generally selfish, unkind, self-centered and very rude in all odds of life and unfortunately these qualities are very hard to hide. Such people prove unattractive to me by all means. Last but not least, chemistry which to me is natural captures my attention in a great way. There is always that notion of comfort that I get when I interact with certain people which in a way attract me more to them. However, socio-cultural influences do not shape my perception towards attractiveness. Cultural ideals of beauty vary and in any way do not influence my understanding of what attraction means. I solely love getting the idea of attraction from my own inner feeling not the embraced assumption that defines the term. In most cases, what my culture perceive as beauty...
