The ageing population is caused by decrease in fertility rates and rise in life expectancy. Aged care is a substantial topic to elderly population since it is the sustenance given to aged population both at their own homes or a nursing home. Some of the support derived from aged care includes assistance with daily livelihood, housing, health care and equipment like wheelchair and walking frames. Aged care is important for the elderly population since it supports social interaction and organizes activities which aid socialization. For instance, aged care nursing homes grant advantageous social environment which aid in decreasing issues with psychological disorders such as stress, anxiety and depression. Picnic Lunches are effective activities for aged care. It involves organizing an undemanding picnic of fruits, cookies and healthy drinks as a simple approach to allowing the elderly population access to fresh air and exercise. Picnic Lunches are conducted in certain working stages. First, the care givers should select a picnic spot that is easily accessible especially to elderly population with mobility problems for instance, choosing a less crowded park. Second, the picnic spot must have a resting area so that the older persons can take a break in case they get exhausted. Third, always remember to keep the elderly hydrated with water or juice. Picnic Lunches in aged care improves social participation fundamentally connected to good health and welfare of elderly persons. Taking part in social activities allows elderly population to sustain their hobbies, sense of identity and develop sympathetic relationships. It is important for the activities to keep the elderly happy and healthy through organizing enjoyable ideas.
