Abstract
[University] One can argue that just like healthcare, education has also become a necessity in the current times. Education proves a strong key to success. In such a case, it is making education accessible to all that serves as a clear path to the acquisition of success that remains coined around the individual determination to pursue their goals through education. How is education basic in determining an individual's future success? Access to education can allow any willing person to pursue their dream courses and acquire the relevant skills in their dream careers/professions. On the other hand, healthcare proves a necessity in life as, without proper health, life can prove miserable and meaningless. Everybody deserves a chance to better health. However, the cost of education and healthcare continue to register an upward trend hindering people these necessities, thus making many lives quite meaningless and unbearable. Within this essay, a thorough analysis of why healthcare and college should be free will offers clear answers to why hindering access to these two essential basics hinders the development and growth of individuals and the nation. The cost of living is relatively high in the United States. Setting aside some cash to cater for the rising cost of college education and healthcare proves a misery to many. To this effect, the need to have a tuition-free college education is essential to allow better access to education for willing students. It is sad to note that college tuition fee in America rises faster than inflation rates. The government and private bodies become part and parcels of crediting bodies that enhance the acquisition of education to the less vulnerable. However, such debts ruin the reputation of these students in the long run as they struggle for most of their lives to set themselves free. With tuition-free colleges, most students can acquire education which proves of personal benefit that has a positive impact on the society and the nation at large as the educated becomes productive in one way or the other. Free college education can help in lowering unemployment rates within America. The current industries demand an intelligent workforce that has defined technological know-how to cope with the demanding technologies employed within the growing sectors. To this effect, the need to have access to education to equip the incoming minds with the relevant skills that the current industries demand is essential. Through tuition-free college, the willing students will get a chance to get equipped and become ready for the demanding job industries, thus widening the workforce, which in return enhances economic growth in a great manner. America is a superpower that many nations look up to, especially regarding job opportunities. However, with the rising college fees, access to education that can help shape minds that can best respond to the technological demands deployed in most industries proves unachievable. For this reason, many people remain unemployed, which drags the economic growth of this great nation behind. To address such a negative impact of limited education, the need to offer all willing to study a chance to access college education is essential in fighting the rising rates of unemployment and poverty levels within the United States (Ison, 2-3). Another reason why free college education is relevant is that it will lower debt levels and pressure on students (Huelsman, 3-4). To boost the American economy or any other economy around the globe, students must graduate...
