Institutional Affiliation 19th March 2021 Nurses Response to Aggressive Behaviour of Patients Patients with anxiety disorder tend to experience panic attacks. During these attacks, some display breathing difficulties, choking sensation, become lightheaded, sweating and racing heart episodes. To handle these situations, nurses are supposed to keep their composure and provide the best care. Composure will enable the nurses to provide appropriate reassurance and advice to their patients on how to control their racing hearts and shortness in breathing like for instance breathing in a paper bag. The nurses can also educate their patients about anxiety and equip them with relaxation techniques such as music, open communication and showing compassion.
