Abstract
Module 2; Reflection on Vygotskian Perspective on learning and Development. Vygotskian perspective explains learning and development as a form of social negotiations. Child development is based on the analogy that cognitive functions result from social interactions. The idea of Vygotskian is that cognitive abilities are socially made and steered. It also describes the origin of human intelligence in society and attributes it to experience making social interaction the fundamental tool in cognition. Children acquire beliefs, problem-solving skills, and cultural values through interaction with society. Individuals learn and develop within their role in the community, making community culture an essential tool in learning. Children gain insight from peers, adults, teachers, and mentors. Vygotsky’s perspective is a theory of reflection on socio-cultural influence. We all go through a zone of proximal development. The most common form of social interaction that we can gain from our experience is the concept of education. Social interactions improve our well beings and mold our cognition. It is through life experience that we learn the various attributes of society. Vygotskian perspective has a potential contribution to the realm of education. Education in childhood has shown me the importance of the Vygotskian view. Through the classroom room, we worked in groups and interactive sessions. Through this, I learned about various groups' various ethnicities, races, and cultural orientations. In my childhood, I realized that there are multiple distinctions in social class among the different groups in society. The experience gained in childhood is the various distinct groups and the classes in society. It is through social interaction that we can harness this analogy.
