Abstract

Schizophrenia Diagnosis Health disorders have been raising from year to the other, generation after the other. This has posed threats on the future of human race. The medical practitioners are doing their best to ensure that they offer proper remedies to these health issues but unfortunately their level of increase raise many questions. Diet determine our health. It is essential to consider what one is consuming in terms of benefits and negative impact to the health. Schizophrenia is among the list of many chronic diseases that affects our bodies. Schizophrenia is a major mental disorder that affects the brain. It is a serious brain problem that tampers with the way people think, act, express emotions, perceive reality and relates to others. This means that it is a condition that seriously changes that nature of the victim in terms of many normal ways of living. Schizophrenia disease serves as a disabling chronic mental illness on the victim (McCance-Katz, 2018). Research has revealed that, Schizophrenia leads to victim having problems in functioning in the society, work place, schools and also in other areas where interaction is essential like in relationship. This is a clear indication that the victim may end up living a lonely life, desperate life or even ends up committing suicide un knowingly. In short, the victim is left frightened and withdrawn. Schizophrenia is a psychosis. This means that the victim ability to differentiate fiction from fact is not functional. In simple terms, the condition makes the victim unable to differentiate the reality from imagination. The sudden change in behavior and personality of a Schizophrenia victim is in many instances shocking and disturbing. This calls for the need to understand them and take good care of these victims to at least make their living bearable. Unfortunately, Schizophrenia is a terminal illness that has no cure though controlled through early treatment. There are various symptoms that enable Schizophrenia to be detected in a person. The signs associated with Schizophrenia are different for every victim just as the case of Schizophrenia causes. Though Schizophrenia causes are still not clear, some theories have tried to determine the causes of this chronic disorder. Genetics, biology and viral infections and immune disorders serves as the noticeable causes of Schizophrenia. Genetically, scientist have made assumptions that this disease is hereditary (Picchioni, et al., 2015). This is based on the fact that Schizophrenia victims run in families thus the disease is passed from one family generation to another. Schizophrenia is believed to be noticed when the body experiences hormonal and physical changes. This means that many people will realize on their being Schizophrenia active after puberty or after undergoing a stressing moment. Biologically, scientists believe that people who have brain chemical imbalances or neurotransmitters are victims of Schizophrenia (Pickard, 2011). Research has revealed that brain chemical imbalances affects the way an individual’s brain react to stimuli. This is attributed to the tampered neurotransmitter that is responsible for transfer of information in the brain through nerve cells. This cause explains why a Schizophrenia victim is completely affected by some sensory information’s that normal people can handle like loud music or bright colors. Based on this cause, hallucination and delusions can be realized on the victim. Further research indicates that if there are any problems in development of connections and pathways in the brain while the embryo is still in the womb, chances of the new born becoming Schizophrenia victim are relatively high. Environmental events may also contribute to one becoming Schizophrenia patient. Viral infections or immune disorders especially when one is pregnant may cause Schizophrenia to the born baby in life. Finally considering prevention and cure measure in relation to Schizophrenia is very vital. Symptoms of Schizophrenia Having schizophrenia my school life and life out of school. The condition will affect how I think and how I will relate with others in school. However, there are no specific triggers that can make the symptoms to be noticed easily. This then means that it may take weeks, months or even years before clear symptoms in relation to Schizophrenia are practically noticeable. The disease may come and go in cycles of relapse and remission. After detecting the symptoms, the prodromal period also takes some time before a person can be declared psychotic. Some of these symptoms include, positive symptoms, cognitive can be defined as added disturbances on the victim’s character. They include delusion, hallucinations, disordered thinking and speech and finally the disorganized behavior. Based on these positive symptoms, the victim tends to believe in false ideas (Bliksted et al., 2017). This is attributed to the deluded nature that the victim is living under. On the other hand, seeing, hearing, feeling and even tasting things that are not in existence serves as an added disturbance to the victim. It is quite unfortunate as many may take these signs for granted thinking that things are just normal and fine. Moving from one topic to the other without making sense on what one is talking about is a sign of disordered thinking. Own words and sounds not forgetting meaningless rhymes are part of the victim’s speech which is a serious threat as many people do not realize is at instant which makes the victims condition deteriorate. Disorganized behaviors in a victim are well expressed by sudden changes in routine behaviors. For instance, a person may change his/her way of choosing appropriate clothing for a specified weather, hygiene among other changes that are so easy to detect. Movement that may generate anxiety or tension without any good reason should be considered as they might part of Schizophrenia symptoms in a person. On the other hand, negative symptoms can be defined as the potentials or abilities that a person loses from his/her personality. They range from social withdrawals, lack of motivation, emotional flatness to extreme apathy (Fusar-Poli et al., 2014). Behavioral swifts are dependent to time variations and attitude at a given time. In teens, a prodrome is accompanied by subtle behavior changes especially in school grades, difficulties in concentration and troubles in sleeping. At this stage, the teen becomes unaware of what he/she referred as real and imagination thus resulting to withdrawal from others. Finally, the cognitive symptoms differ as for some victims they are subtle while severe on others (Jauhar et al., 2014). These symptoms include trouble focusing or paying attention, working memory problems and poor executive functioning. If these symptoms are not realized early enough, the victims condition deteriorates making it very hard to be controlled. Other than the symptoms, there are...
