Abstract
The Sustainability of Renewable Energy in the Future One of the considerations that stakeholders in different industries make is the impact they have on the environment. Use of renewable energy is an important topic of interest since it addresses environmental problems such as, resource depletion, and pollution and carbon emissions. Renewable energy options such as solar, wind, and geothermal reduce the impact that the globalizing industrial economy has on the environment. Benefits of renewable energy sources include a better environment and employment opportunities for individuals in research and production sectors of the industry (Østergaard 2434). The availability of technologies that make renewable energy cost-effective and efficient will accelerate the transition from non-renewable energy options. The potential for sustainable use of renewable energy in the future could depend on the use of diverse sources depending on their availability and viability for various populations (Tang et al., 43). The current informative paper on an environmental problem focuses on the use of renewable energy in the future and how efficiency, cost, technologies, and alternatives available will affect the transition from non-renewable energy. Concerns over the environment have changed how consumers at the organizational and individual levels select alternative products in the market. One of the major environmental problems of interest is the use of renewable energy and the implications it has on resources, pollution, and sustainability. Renewable energy refers to energy whose source is not depleted as a result of consumption by users. Sources of renewable energy from the environment include solar, wind, and hydrothermal energy whose availability is not defined by the amount of consumption (Deshmukh et al., 1757). On the other hand, non-renewable energy sources include coal, oil, and natural gas that have significant environmental implications and risk of resource depletion. The global transformation from the use of non-renewable energy to renewable alternatives has significant implications on the availability of resources and the environment. While there are benefits of using renewable energy, it is important to consider the sustainability of the alternatives available to consumers in different parts of the world. Using renewable energy has major benefits to the environment that has accelerated investments in the energy sector and scientific research on practical applications. Through the use of renewable energy sources, consumers contribute to lower carbon emissions and reduced levels of pollution during production. Renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, and ocean energy have lower impacts on both carbon emissions and pollution compared to using fossil fuels. Carbon emissions have environmental implications related to climate change that affect the sustainability of life on the planet (Deshmukh et al., 1757). With the rising industrialization and economic growth around the world, it is necessary to consider the viability of life on the planet with increased use of non-renewable energy. An increase in the use of renewable energy contributes to economic growth by causing an increase in employment opportunities in the energy sector. More people are working in research, technology, and the...
