Course name Instructor’s name Assignment due date Module 6: Course Reflection My thoughts on early childhood education have changed after learning the benefits of the project approach in learning. It provides a collaborative method of learning that actively involves children sharing their thoughts and experiences of the topic. When initiated properly, the project approach provides teachers and parents an opportunity to engage children in real-world issues during the learning process. I intend to change my approach to education to include more critical thinking and reflection where all children participate in sharing ideas and thoughts in the classroom (Vu Huy Tran, 2022). What I intend to do differently is to view children as active participants in learning and recognize the significant of their input in learning. I will provide them with the opportunity to share their input on the topic and recognize the diversity of their ideas on the topics I teach in my lessons. The observations, discussions, and projects in the course were engaging and enlightening to teachers intending to use the project approach in early childhood education. I had the opportunity to share my input and respond to the discussion posts of my peers. During the course, I learnt that teachers can creatively involve active participation to teach math and science lessons in early childhood education (Clements & Sarama, 2016). The readings for this course showed that children begin understanding concepts in math and science at an early age and teachers have the opportunity to introduce these concepts at the pre-kindergarten level.
