PSYC3350: Research Paper Assignment Guide Assignment Due Date and Time The research paper you will be working on has multiple project checkpoints throughout the semester. The due dates for these checkpoints are as follows: Week 2, Sunday by 11:59 pm: Topic of Research Paper Week 3, Sunday by 11:59 pm: Thesis for Research Paper Week 4, Sunday by 11:59 pm: Literature Review for Research Paper Week 5, Sunday by 11:59 pm: Rough Draft of Research Paper with Literature Review Week 7, Sunday by 11:59 pm: Final Version of Research Paper Purpose This research paper assignments is designed to help you accomplish the following Course Objectives: Design psychologically appropriate practices to maximize workforce motivation toward organizational goals. Design workplace organizational structures that include proper leadership practices for a psychologically healthy workplace. Description You will create a scenario in which a leader must use at least 4 specific strategies to motivate his/her employees. You are welcome to look at the topics that we will cover over the course and select one that you will research further to meet the goals of this assignment. Remember, you must discuss at least 4 specific strategies to address the issue(s) with workplace motivation that you describe in the scenario. To do this you will write at least 4 full pages of research and analysis. This will not include your title or reference page. You should use at minimum 5 scholarly sources from the JWU library. You can use your textbook as a 6th source if desired. This paper should be in APA style. A good guide for this style is included in our course in the Student Writing Support section, you can also use Purdue OWL. The overall guide for your paper format is as follows: Title Page (in APA style) Body of paper (at least 4 full pages long, using in text references giving credit to authors throughout the paper in each paragraph) Reference Page (in APA Style) The paper deliverables are as follows: Topic of Research Paper: Due Week 2 Describe the scenario briefly when you identify the topic for the research paper and your instructor will give you feedback about the appropriateness of the topic. State the topic from the syllabus that you have selected to research in this course. Summarize in a few sentences why you selected this topic and the scenario you plan to address.
