Refocusing My Education: Students Plan for Academic Success

Institution Affiliation’ Instructor’s Name My goal next year is to maintain all A's and B’s and stay focused on my education. This year has been unsatisfactory since I did not achieve my academic goals. For the past years, I have not been serious about my academics. I want to refocus. Friends are an obstacle that has left me lagging. I have realized engaging with my peers and spending much time in recreational activities has limited studying time. I want to be cautious about my time, and I will put studying a priority. Social media is the biggest obstacle for a student. I struggle with internet addiction, scrolling news feeds, and people’s profiles. I am going to delete all the social media apps on my phone so that I can refocus on my studies. Social media is taking away my identity, so I cannot exploit my potential. I suffer from a disease of procrastination, and this year I could not complete my assignments on time. I want to behave well and cultivate honesty, compassion, and integrity attributes. I believe these virtues will steer me toward my academic goals. I also need to take typing classes, and by the end of next year, I want to have achieved 60 words per minute. I want to keep focus and be productive in everything that I do. I also want to improve my knowledge base. Next year, I want to read books and journals to reignite my energy. Books will alienate me from social media abdication and keep me on track. I also want to improve my research skills. I will do this by visiting the library every Friday and deducing a subjective statement on my research skills every three months.
