Children born with hearing disorders have unique qualities and challenges in equal measure hence need to adapt to their environment by incorporating sign language, which proves to a tough task in their everyday environment. This essay aims at outlining the importance of absorbing the deaf culture in the society so that they may feel like a part of the human race and not be left out to sort their things, making them feel as if they are less human. The deaf culture, in most cases, interacts amongst themselves because other people do not invest in them to understand them better, which makes them suffer alone whenever they are in a crisis. It is not a strange thing for deaf parents to bear deaf children, and when this occurs, the children become part of the deaf culture upon where they are trained on how to cope in a society that includes all kinds of people. Among the things the deaf learn is sign language, which unfortunately is not familiar to everybody, especially those that have never been around a deaf person. It is actual that more often than not, deaf people try to integrate as much as possible with all persons, but it turns out that what they receive in turn is sympathy, a thing that they do not need whereby in most cases, this kind of attitude makes it difficult for them to have friends outside their deaf cultures making them vulnerable to other conditions like mental which could be eliminated if the society worked a bit hard in understanding them better.
