Abstract

Roberto G. Ortiz [Name] English 1302 160 October 19, 2022 Essay 2 Reflection Questions This class has helped me shape my writing into something that, honestly, even I enjoy reading. What I learned in the first essay that I implemented in this essay is that of finding correct sources that have been peer-reviewed and will have good information that will help me format my essay into a semi-masterpiece. Something that definitely aided in my essay was what I learned in Psychology. My essay was surrounded by a topic that was discussed in that specific class, phones overtaking quality family time. It helped as I already had some previous knowledge that, without a doubt, was very helpful in constructing this essay about phones and some mental issues. In essay one, I wrote about the effects of music in the gym; obviously, I did not use any of the data or information I put into that essay in essay 2. Something that I learned about in another class that I did not use in essay 2 was in history, as we are currently learning about European expansion across America. I learned in essay 2 how to properly use my sources and implement them into multiple paragraphs across my essay. I backed up many of my claims using these ten sources. Learning about how phones mess with your mind and how they may potentially be very harmful to you was very interesting to research, but this clearly will not be of aid to me for a biology class that requires me to learn about human anatomy. Creating an annotated bibliography helped me immensely, as I already had an idea of what I was about to start researching with these articles.
