Crafting a Persuasive Annotated Bibliography: Analyzing Opposing Editorials

Abstract

For this entry you must choose an editorial published within the last two years that disagrees with your position. It is essential to find an editorial that is well-written and was published in a credible venue. By doing so, you will strengthen your own ethos appeals and more effectively persuade your target audience. After you have selected the editorial, read it closely and strategize how to summarize it using your skills from Fall semester combined with your new skills for analyzing the rhetorical situation.  To help you understand college standards for research and summary, we are providing a rubric below with questions to guide your work.  This rubric has a fine level of detail to help you break down the research, reading, and writing skills that will help you succeed on your college-level annotated bibliography.
