The researchers based their study on Nigeria, and the prevalence of the pandemic in the country shows the poor adherence to the WHO guidelines and the NCDC. Nigeria has 36 states and one federal, which is the republic and the official language is English. The research examines how life orientation and social demographic factors played a role in the spread of the pandemic. It was conducted using an expo facto online survey with the design efficient in reaching a huge number of residents across the states of Nigeria without any manipulation. Nigeria has a population of over 200 million, and Respondent Driven Sampling Technique was used to obtain the seven hundred and ninety-eight residents. All were surveyed after obtaining their informed consent. Participants were adults of not less than 18 years. The results showed a link between life orientation, sociodemographic factors, and Nigeria's adherence to COVID-19 preventive behaviors. The research alludes that the National Orientation Agency in Nigeria ought to take a step on imparting optimistic life orientation to Nigeria beginning in Childhood to act a future in preventing infectious diseases that may arise such as Covid 19. Optimistic respondents were found to adhere to the Covid 19 rules compared to the pessimistic respondents. Those with high levels of education, such as the post graduate, adhered to the rules more than the illiterate. The researchers sampled a total of 2284 students from children in Costa Rica from 64 education sectors. A total of 36 children and adolescents were selected from each educational center. They employed a descriptive and cross-sectional study. The adolescents were administered questionnaires, and data on the individual, family and social nature were collected to detect suicidal ideation and non-suicidal self-injury. The study ensured that they had the informed consent of the participants before the research. The research considered gender rules for 57% of women and 47% of men. The results affirmed that girls are positively associated with suicidal thoughts, alluding that the difference between males and females has not yet been established. The two most outstanding factors associated with suicide in the research are the “emo” subculture group and suffering from bullying. The emo culture subjects them to self-harming and negative behaviors such as anxiety, low self-esteem, and depression. The vulnerable age is 12- 20 years, a critical period for suicidal ideation and NSSI. The internet, music, and movies are some factors that greatly affect adolescents prompting negative behavior. Bullying in all expressions is a complex phenomenon that stirs children and adolescents' emotional and physical stability, pushing them to negative thoughts and actions.
