[Name] Prompt Eight: Benefits of Higher Education in a Cohort Model I can attest to the fact that higher education in a cohort model has provided me with a unique learning experience fostering growth on my personal, interpersonal and social levels. While reflecting on how this model of learning has impacted my personal growth, it is wise to confirm that the cohort model has changed my mind set by challenging how I reflect on my behavior, beliefs as well as assumptions. Initially, my thinking was so reserved but after gaining insights from this cohort model I can now reflect well while in a structured academic setting. Starting with self awareness, the cohort offered me a serene collaborative environment that significantly impacted my self-esteem. Through interactive discussion and assignments, I have become more aware of my strengths as well as my areas of improvement. The cohorts served as a family arena where different talents, minds and strengths came together for a common goal making learning really interesting and exciting. It is through this cohort model that I realized the relevance of identifying my communication style which then helped me tailor my approach in without causing unnecessary commotions. Basically, the curriculum challenged me to reflect deeply on my values as well as my strengths which in return has enabled me to approach challenges with confidence.
