The standard of the lesson is that the students will be able to analyze the point of view from which stories can be narrated. With the video, the teacher is able to provide a real example of a story that the students can analyze and compare different points of view. In particular, this video describes a story told from the perspective of the narrator. In a story with multiple characters, the narrator uses the third person point of view to describe the experiences, emotions, and views of various characters. The video describes the core standard of the lesson by providing the learners with the opportunity to practice with an actual story from which they can demonstrate the skills they gained from the lesson. During the lesson, the teacher describes the different perspectives and the points of view that students can expect when reading a story. The video is an example of story told by the narrator where students learn how perspective can affect the point of view of a story. Before presenting the video in the classroom, the teacher asks the students to think about the concepts presented in the classroom and the questions they should answer after the exercise. By asking the learners what they are thinking about the video, the teacher demonstrates how they can determine the point of view from the story.
