Claude McKay, “White Houses” (1925) “The New Negro, An Interpretation" is a source produced by Alain Locke, who served as its editor. Alain Locke produced this source in New York with Albert and Charles Boni, Inc way back in 1925. Claude McKay serves as the source author. Claude McKay can be described as a potential figure in the Harlem renaissance whose urge to fight for the rights of the blacks could not be questioned. Claude McKay aimed at protesting racial and economic inequalities claiming blacks had the potentials to deliver just as their white counterparts, thus entitled to all privileges that the whites were enjoying. Alain Locke produced this source in 1925 in New York. Since Claude McKay was a Jamaican implies that he was a black who aimed at passing his message regarding the rights of his fellow blacks in a white supremacist nation. For this reason, the meaning of his text could face criticism, though, in the long run, McKay would pass the message in his text as intended across the target audiences, which in this case are the whites within America.
