International Logistics Services (ILS) has acquired a new warehouse in Australia as part of its expansion plan to the market. The facility will accommodate changes in the organization to match the growing market for warehousing services for its consumers. Since the warehouse has issues that will affect the triple bottom line strategy for ILS, it is necessary to conduct improvements that will align the facility with its operational goals. The project team has identified challenges that affect the profits, people, and the planet goals for the organization and it will update the facility to match the standards of the organization (Salhieh & Alswaer, 2022). The current project scope document identifies the scope for the project, the deliverables and acceptance criteria, the limitations and boundaries, and the change control process for the Walmart project. Scope Description ILS has acquired a new warehouse in Australia that will facilitate the expansion of the company’s operations in the country. The project seeks to update the new warehouse to meet the company’s standards of sustainable profitability and offer services to companies such as Walmart and other retailers. ILS recognizes that at the current standards, the warehouse is unable to effectively provide services to its clients and their customers efficiently. The scope of the project is to determine and implement areas of improvement with the warehouse to ensure that it is capable of providing quality services to consumers (Salhieh & Alswaer, 2022). The project will resolve the problems existing at the warehouse that have affected its capacity to meet the standards of service delivery and meet the needs of the stakeholders. Among the issues affecting the operation of the warehouse include a high rate of accidents, high energy consumption, disorganization, outdated equipment, and lack of employee training to facilitate efficiency and safety. The project will undertake key updates for the warehouse to ensure that it is capable of offering quality services for the clients by targeting the issues that is has faced in the past. Project Deliverables and Acceptance Criteria Identifying the key deliverables for the project will ensure that the project manager and the team have effectively met the expectations of the key stakeholders. The first deliverable is ensuring that the equipment at the facility is up-to-date and capable of meeting the expectations of the key stakeholders (Voronova, 2022). The project will involve he assessment the current state of the machinery and technology equipment at the warehouse and conduct improvements to ensure profitability and sustainability. In line with the commitment of the organization to the welfare of the people, the project will make changes to reduce warehouse accidents by providing protective equipment for all employees and improve flooring (Salhieh & Alswaer, 2022). The requirement for the deliverable is that the project reduces the risks of accidents in the workplace by ensuring that all workers have safety gear while in the facility. ILS seeks to adhere to its sustainability goals in all its locations and the project will conduct an assessment of energy consumption patterns and implement changes to ensure efficiency. The acceptance criteria for the deliverable is reducing energy consumption by 40% and implementing solar energy solutions for 70% of all the energy uses at the facility. One of the challenges for profitability at the warehouse in its current state is the lack of organization that causes delays in deliveries and increases operation costs. The project will implement changes in the organization of inventory to reduce the amount of time employees spend accessing and delivering inventory to the company’s clients.
