To enrich themselves in the tennis match, a play needs to learn many different stances to attack aggressively and defend the ball. The different stances include; closed, open, semi-open, and neutral. The closed stance is seen in the backhand side of the professional game, where the body and the shoulders are turned sideways. The players often move wide in a tennis serve, showing an open stance. An open stance is used to great effect. It allows a player to hit and recover, providing an option for maximum court coverage. The neutral stance is used on approaches and balls where the player must move forward. This stance shows the player maximizes the total body weight into the shot. Ball Toss: this is a tennis serve motion that involves lifting the ball into the hitting zone. It is a game's most important shot, and a consistently placed shot makes the game reliable and creates a good serve at the critical moment. Backswing: this is a movement that helps in serving the ball. This movement involves ensuring that the racket is kept up to create a position for a backswing. The backswing is the racket's continuous backward movement to serve the ball. Grip: this is a way of holding the racket to ensure good hit shots of the ball. The players continuously change their grips depending on the shots they want to exercise. Some of the most famous grips in tennis are Continental, Eastern, and western. The eastern grip allows players to hit flatter shots and transition faster to volleys. The western grip allows players to make shots with topspin giving them a bigger margin of error. The continental grip is used for slices, volleys, serves, and overheads. In this grip, the racket you hold in front of you is perpendicular to the ground. Forward Swing: this type of swing entails weight transfer, for instance, transferring energy from the backswing to the tennis ball to the target. In a forward swing, the player steps forward with the foot opposite the dominant one; the right-handers will step ahead with the left foot.
