Leadership and Teamwork Explain how strategic vision would apply to an organization for a leader Strategic vision is an approach that provides defined techniques that focus organizations when they are planning and deciding on their purpose and best business practices critical for remaining relevant and competitive within the markets. One can argue that employment of strategic leadership enable leaders to formulate a strategic vision to help them maneuver the competitive pressures within the markets and enjoy some sought of uniqueness to remain competitive. In such a case, strategic vision refers to a long-term comprehensive picture of an organization’s goal and defined methods/approaches of achieving such goals (Ali & Anwar, 2021). It is a strong vision that guides a company’s strategy and decisions enabling such an organization enjoy a strong competitive edge by focusing on its future. Through a coherent ad relevant strategic vision, a leader is able to give employees a shared set of goals and purposes thus motivating them to collaborate in achieving them which enhances success of an organization in general. One can conclude that strategic vision helps strategic leaders streamline processes, promote innovation and boost strategic productivity as such clear and concise visions enhances employee independence, productivity and pushing of new ideas enhancing the overall growth of the organization. It is imperative to note that application of a relevant strategic vision in an organization enable leaders define clear reward and incentive programs aimed at encouraging employees to help them reach the set strategic goals. Identify ways that a leader can effectively communicate their vision and how to improve on listening skills Communication is very essential in any working place and a leader must express defined abilities in communicating and delivering the text as intended. While a leader may have a very smart and insightful strategic vision for an organization, limited abilities to communicate it and make it acceptable and make sense to the target employees may hamper its success and make it sound irrelevant. For this reason, there is the need for a leader to express defined communication and listening skills to enhance employees urge to listen in case such a leader communicates to them and respond accordingly while sharing their ideas, suggestion and even critics towards the communicated text (Jensen, Moynihan & Salomonsen, 2018). Therefore a leader can effectively communicate their vision through telling a story. When a leader tells a good story, such a story gives life to a vision as employees or the target audiences are able to connect such story experiences with the communicated vision. It is an approach that enhances trust, captures hearts and minds and also serves as a reminder of the vision. Through a good story the leader make the target find it easy to repeat the story and connect it with the vision and raise their concerns on such a story making it memorable. A leader can also perfect the elevator speech in that such a vision becomes communicated in a clear, concise and brief manner.
