Career Exploration Assignment Career Vision Statement Two years after graduation, I want to see myself as a vibrant and active youth. I want to be at service to the community and a company, if, possible, a volunteer. I will be looking to gain experience and adjust to a working environment. I wish to develop basic workplace skills and techniques. Over the next five years, I want to explore and develop skills in the sports industry. 1 want to transform the theoretical knowledge I have learned in school and study it practically. Gaining experience is my key goal. I wish to acquire expertise in various fields, improve my interaction with many clients and successful individuals. I will be looking for opportunities that will foster me to expand territories to propel me to greater heights of success. In 10 years, I want to see myself leading a team; I will have the capacity through past experiences and skills. They also identify new talents and recruit them. They also can advise players on investments and making purchases and oversee player marketing and promotional strategies. They work in schools, support teams in the community, support professional sportspeople such as athletes, and sports teams, for instance, football. Reflection (Sports Agent) Pursuing a career as a sports agent is an exciting idea. A Sports Agent enjoys diverse career opportunities (Bjalevik, 2009). This can be achieved through networking and working for professional athletes. Their roles are varied, especially when handling marketing and negotiating contracts and working with professional sports organizations. Internships are recommended to work as a sports agent to tackle various roles to gain experience in the field. Working as a sports agent is an excellent opportunity to impact the community and the business world. Professional athletes have been seen giving back to the community. The sports agents act as their helping hand to identify vulnerable groups and coordinate how they can be reached. Through such interactions, they can identify talent and support them. The sports industry is very competitive, and sports agents strive to identify ways to compete and enhance sustainability in the industry. The sports agents, through such competitions, gain experience and adequate skills that impress the business world. Working as a sports agent is satisfying, especially if you are passionate about it. Passion is transformed into a career. The sports industry is one of the most vibrant sectors globally that encompasses culture, talent, and fun. Sports can be useful for health, and one can solve mental, physical, and emotional challenges. The sports industry is all-round; it is not all about athletics only. It entertains and satisfies. I have a passion for sports which is a strength I am proud of, and this enables me to surpass everything in the sports industry. Passion can make me handle vast roles and activities without relent and with integrity and advanced skills. I think I possess social intelligence, negotiation skills, and networking skills. Negotiation skills have helped me in advancing the performance of my athletes and helping the community. I have negotiated viable contracts, for instance, negotiating enforceable contracts for minors in schools to take part in community teams. Social intelligence has enabled me to solve security threats in online platforms and the online reputation of community teams I have worked for. Online platforms offer and challenges on improvement on what’s affecting an organization. I gained an excellent public image through networking and goog performance in sports back in high school. The schools I have attended have accessibility and can take their athletes to well-established, prolific, and viable organizations whenever there are competitions.
