Abstract

The Causes of Human Conflict Conflict is human nature and is something unavoidable. It is part of our lives; the causes are adverse, huge, and very controversial, and we cannot ascertain the single cause of the conflict. Human conflict is inseparable from our daily encounters. Intractable conflicts are eminent today and are unresolved and are stuck to the high level of adversity and destructiveness it bears. Conflict is deeply embedded in human relationships, and culture is a subject matter in every conflict. The diversity in culture makes it impossible for people to understand each other. Culture intrudes in our lives and relationships and shapes how we make our judgments, attributions, and perceptions, influencing human conflict on a major scale. The aspect of culture is diverse, ranging from ethnicity, nationality, generational sentiments, political and religious affiliations, language, gender, socioeconomic class, and sexual orientations. The list is endless, and so is human conflict difficult with culture. Culture disseminates messages that other groups outside the culture do not know. Culture is multi-layered as it takes one's insight into what is below the surface. It harbors unpredictable ways due to its constantly changing conditions making it difficult to derive a comprehensive formulation to understand the differences in the cultures. Human conflict arises since culture takes time, context, and individual differences to formulate a viable solution. Politics, economics, religion, geographical orientations, and personal interests overlap, creating disaster among people and nations.
