Abstract
Signs and symptoms during an anaphylactic from respiratory body systems may include shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, and coughing resulting from pulmonary edema (Pflipsen and Colon, 2020). Wheezing sounds may also be experienced when breathing. On the other hand, signs and symptoms associated with cardiovascular include low blood pressure resulting from blood capillaries leaking blood into the body tissues, weak or rapid pulse, and heart palpitations (Pflipsen and Colon, 2020). Gastrointestinal signs and symptoms associated with anaphylactic include nausea and trouble swallowing, which may go to a choking sensation. Difficulty in speaking or slurred speech may be experienced, which could be translated to a hoarse voice and swelling of the airways. In addition, diarrhea and severe cramping stomach pain may be experienced (Pflipsen and Colon, 2020). Signs and symptoms associated with dermatological body systems include itchy, painful, raised red bumps on the skin. Skin discoloration is also a possibility in which the skin becomes pale. In addition, a patient may experience facial swelling. , the skin becoming blue due to insufficient oxygen in the body (Pflipsen and Colon, 2020). Nurse's role in providing family-centered care during and after a crisis Family-centered care places the nurse in a position that dictates that the nurse must attend to the family needs and the patient in the best way possible. Therefore, a nurse must understand that a patient's critical condition affects the patient and their entire family. In this case, the nurse's role would be to ensure that the family is timely updated on the patient's condition as much as possible. Besides the patient, the nurse must ensure that they have addressed any issues, questions, and concerns that the patient's family could be having. Such a gesture would ensure that a less stressful environment facilitates the patient's recovery, creating harmony between the patient and the family.
