They will need pen and paper to complete the exercise (Chard, 2016). 1. Circle exercise Students will sit in a circle and talk about different communities they belong in to. They will say how being in the community benefits them individually. I will change the sitting arrangement in the classroom to accommodate the exercise. Displays as a Record 2. Drawings The students will make and present drawings of a community. I will need markers, pencils, and provide paper to students for this question. 2. Pictures The goal is to display a community. The students will collect pictures from their homes that they think describe a community 1. Home pictures With the assistance of their parents and guardians, students will take and print art in their homes, books, or photos that show activities in a community.
