Course name Instructor’s name Assignment due date Literature Review: Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs The Maslow’s hierarchy of needs model describes a strategy to achieve motivation by meeting the needs of individuals to influence their behavior. Stewart et al. (2018, p. 68) demonstrated that it is possible to increase employee motivation by helping them achieve happiness in life. There are many things that organizations need to do to meet the needs of their employees even when the resources are scarce. Stewart et al. (2018, p. 71) noted that it is critical to identify the things that all organizations need to do for their employees to be happy. Distinguishing the basic factors influencing happiness and all things that employees need to do for their workers is critical when managers are working with scarce resources. Using the Maslow’s hierarchy of needs model, Stewart et al. (2018, p. 72) showed that managers could focus on the necessary variables that companies need to address to motivate their employees by achieving happiness among the workers. Prioritizing on the basic variables influencing happiness is necessary for all the employees’ needs and to achieve organizational goals by motivating the members of the workforce. The modern healthcare workplace has experienced disruptions as a result of new technologies and devices transforming the responsibilities of professionals. It is necessary to integrate traditional theories with modern disruptions is necessary to motivate the healthcare employees today (Benson & Dundis, 2003, p. 317). With technologies transforming the factors of the modern workplace, Maslow’s hierarchy of needs aligns with the methods managers should use to motivate employees. The model facilitates the achievement of maximum benefits fin employee motivation with fewer resources. Benson & Dundis (2003, p. 318) and Stewart et al. (2018, p. 72) agree that focusing on security and happiness can help managers maintain a motivated workforce despite changing features of the work environment. Amidst changes and disruptions in the workplace, organizations need to consider ways to motivate their employees. The article by Pang et al.
