Abstract

[Name] Juvenile Prevention and Diversion New Program Grants Request for Proposals Guidelines Congratulations. The review team was intrigued with your white paper and is inviting you to submit a full proposal for The [Author] funding. Panther County Florida has been selected for $6,000,000 in grant funding which will be disbursed over a three year period ($2,000,000 per year) to fund new and innovative juvenile delinquency diversion or prevention programs. The Panther County United Way will serve as the overall fiscal agent for the funding and is being compensated to manage these funds separately from the $6,000,000 grant. The [Author] and the Panther County United Way will select award recipients based on the strength of the proposals. The minimum funding request is $100,000 with a maximum of $1,000,000 per partnered program per year over the three-year funding period. Competing collaborative groups can be compromised of governmental, non-profit, for profit, and faith-based organizations. Funding will be awarded to a lead submitting agency that will be responsible for budgeting and administrative requirements as well as disbursement of funds to program partners. Full proposals must be submit as outlined below. Proposals must be typed double-spaced using 12-point Times New Roman font. Start with a cover page listing the name of the project along with the collaborative agencies, names of the primary contacts, and team number. Headers should coincide with the below proposal outline. You are free to use graphs or charts as necessary but stay within the specified page maximums and be sure to address all specific requirements. Proposals that do not address the below requirements will be rejected. Full proposal are due midnight on Wednesday Proposal Outline is to follow the below format: Part 1: Introduction Abstract This is the summary of your proposal. This area should not exceed 45 double spaced lines or one full page. Table of contents This is the simple structure of reference for your application. Part 2: Specific Aims Problem Statement Programs must have a concise problem statement and specific goals to address the identified problem. This is the justification and rationale for your proposed program. This is where you discuss specifically the problem issues, behaviors, or situations that will be addressed by the proposed program activities/interventions. This portion should not exceed two pages, double-spaced. Vision and Mission Statement These should be one paragraph your program’s vision statement and mission statement respectively. Literature Review Programs must provide academic (peer-reviewed) support for their new program. The theoretical basis (literature review) is necessary to discuss and ground the rationale of the new program.
