The KANBAN helps control the number of units needed in time. The system embraces a criterion where the number of units is written in a card known as Kanban, rotating among all workers during the production process, ensuring that everything is interconnected. It helps eliminate excess stock and workforce, which increases profits and operating cash flows. The pull system is very flexible and can easily adapt to market demands and changes. The Toyota Production System uses the pull system, which makes it revolutionary and unique. The pull system also embraces production smoothing, which reduces lead time. The pull-based system replaces the push system due to its ability to adapt to demand changes and fluctuations. The pull system accurately times the production and necessary quantity. The push system mostly leads to unnecessary capital investments, excesses, and wastage of production resources. This system is very costly, yet profits are limited.
