I have always had an interest in finance and money and working as an economist has given me the opportunity to define my worldview in management, finance, banking, and community service. I have vast experience in economic planning, budget, and finance having worked as an intern for one year in Derby County. I was extremely devoted and timely in my work and this impressed my supervisors luckily, I was absorbed to work as one of the senior economists where I have worked to date. Throughout my work experience, I have learned about resilience, hard work, and devotion to my work. I get things done. I have the zeal to work hard and experience has taught me to work in diverse environments and collaborate amicably with my colleagues in matters of creativity, innovation, and problem-solving. With a vast experience under my grasp, I believe I can contribute immensely to the success of your company. This position will be a great opportunity to build my skills and explore new challenges in my career. Question 2: Why should we hire you Honestly, World Bank is a reputable organization evidenced by and a place many people admire working in. I want to be part of a community that is extraordinarily great which will give me an opportunity to showcase my skills as a manager and leader in the organization. have five years of managerial accounting and economic planning which gives me credit for handling complex problems. I like giving quality work and in everything I do, I embrace enthusiasm and integrity. My vast experience as an intern and senior economist in Derby country is a skill I reckon. Working in Derby was more of a political landscape, I want to enjoy working in the World Bank as a non-governmental organization and enjoy the different working environment. I want to contribute to the success of this organization and lighten up my future career goals. Question 3: What are your two greatest opportunities? I believe in community service, working, and giving back to the community. World Bank will give me an opportunity to exploit this platform and work towards improving lives and alleviating poverty in society. I also like overthinking which is my weakness sometimes it puts me out of context. It is an attitude that I am still working on. I have spent time reading books and listening to podcasts on how to tame the issue. PART 2: CONDUCTING INTERVIEWS What was one challenging situation in your previous position in Derby County and how did you resolve it? Rationale; This question is to test the problem-solving ability of the interviewee. Organizations are sometimes faced with crisis and the dilemma of determining the solution requires a competent employee or CEO to enact a solution without hesitation. When a problem arises in a company or organization it requires prompt decision-making, critical thinking, and integrity to make timely and quick solutions. In this case, the candidate shows the extent of the situation and how it affected the company, the actions and measures taken, and the lessons learned. Asking this question accesses these skills in a candidate and determines how credible they are in cases of crisis. The company will then take candidates with high problem-solving capacity and the positivity they embraced in the situation.
