Navigating Team Dynamics and Community Crime Challenges in a Small Class Project

Abstract

Rebecca post This class was excellent as an exercise in working with a team and communication. Discussing team dynamics is not really my focus though. Any issues we had in communication were solved thanks to Monica and her idea to move our discussion to other platforms. In regards to the actual course, there were some minor gaps in information we had for formulating a program. I do understand that realistically we may not know the exact crimes or rates of specific crimes, but this did make it difficult to come up with a comprehensive solution for the community. While Citrus Bend had higher crime rates overall, we had no idea what kind of crime was going on. If Citrus Bend has mainly petty theft and Manatee Cove has mainly murder charges, that’s a pretty big deal. We worked with what we had and were able to come up with a solid program though, in my opinion. It is also difficult to really analyze how this class went due to how small it is. We were the only group and therefore had no other groups to compare our progress with. Which made me somewhat anxious for our first few assignments. Luckily, the group did well in helping one another figure out various pieces of the assignment
