Changing plumbing controls Making the plumbing controls offset towards the bathtub edge with only a shift in the pipe location makes it easier for everyone to reach it. Construction of accessible building entries It is greatly enabled by the use of ramps instead of staircases. The construction of ramps is of many benefits to everyone because they are ideal for all people with various physical disabilities which may trigger their movement. Hence, unlike lifts that sometimes experience malfunctions, the ramps allow anyone to enter or exit a building. Making existing facilities accessible in the physical environment It makes the physically challenged people easily access facilities of their needs within the shortest time possible and without a lot of strain and hustle. Ensuring there is appropriate parking with Braille buttons and audio announcements They serve as essential considerations which have helped the physically challenged community to assess the physical working environment with ease. Such modifications in meeting rooms, classrooms, and conference halls have given them equal facilities to their counterparts. Installation of a vertical platform lift It has helped students with physical challenges to walk without using wheelchairs. Use of the vertical platform lift help students inside the buildings because they move them to various areas. The students easily stand on the lift and then get moved up or down safely without getting into danger of losing their balance. Providing adjustable features Adjusting the height of sinks, cabinet shelves, and cooktops from legal age to a lower height makes it easy for those with challenges to access various facilities. Topic 2 Construction of aesthetically pleasing and universally usable components It has greatly been enabled through the specification of aesthetically pleasing and universally usable components for buildings.
