Abstract
Role of Personality in Job-Fitting Mandalaki et al. (2019) argue that not every personality is fit for every job position. For this reason, the need to recognize one's personality is the key to enhancing fitness in a job whose demands match such a personality. To this effect, one can conclude that personality directs some people to certain jobs that they fit best. However, it is not justified that people with different personalities cannot work together and achieves a common goal. The need for proper analysis of one’s personality and the personality of others is the key to enhancing a harmonious living and working environment at all times. Understanding own personality proves essential as enables a worker to enhance their relationship with their colleagues in a great manner. Respect amongst workers becomes realized upon understanding each other's personality. Personality allows people to get assigned to jobs that they fit most which in return enhances their performance and attitude towards work. For instance, a person who does not like talking and sharing so much with colleagues can best fit in backdoor operations as compared to a person whose urge to mingle and engage with others remains defined. On the other hand, hiring candidates with intuitive personalities, are more likely to fit in self-employment or working from home as compared to personalities that seek attention and aims at reporting at the office on daily basis (Pelt et al. 2017). Candidates with similar personalities or personalities that can match can make a potential group as working for a common goal remains a non-issue to such a team. However, when an employer decides to hire personalities that do not fit the job assigned to, such individuals tend to lose the meaning of such opportunities which negatively impacts their job attitude.
