Abstract

Module 2 Discussion: Who Would You Hire? Lilia Lewis resume starts with a clear objective expressing the candidate’s goal of getting a paralegal job. It is a very detailed resume defining the candidate potentials and achievement with a photo to elaborate more on the candidate. It has a list of references for confirmation of the written materials. However, the starting gesture has explanation marks which might speak of the dictatorial nature of the candidate. Samantha Bee resume has a concise objective defining the willingness to express defined potentials in the assigned task. A very brief but self explanatory resume portraying a clear picture of the candidate. However it lacks references that can confirm more about the candidate. Jenna Bouffard resume is also detailed telling a lot about the candidate’s achievements, potentials and awards. It gives clear dates on periods of each occurrence which is a great con as it expresses reliability of the contents given if supportive documents become available. However, it lacks the candidate’s objective, mission or vision and also has no reference list to confirm of candidates available information. As a hiring manager, I would choose Lilia Lewis as the most appropriate candidate as the resume tells a lot about this candidate. Unlike the other two, Lewis has expressed great abilities in understanding what it takes to reflect a strong personal through a well thought resume. Although the client uses exclamation marks which do not seem polite in a formal piece, I believe the candidate deserves a chance to employ the mentioned skills through academia and experiences to the new position.
