It is a bill that carries a lot of weight in regard to addressing a prevalent social issue that has proved a challenging experience for most families within New Jersey. Domestic violence as a social problem has adverse effects on children who in this case are the most vulnerable with limited control over such experiences. Family members are the other vulnerable victims who regardless of the risks lack the best interventions to address their physical or psychological effects from domestic violence perpetrators due to limited funds, fear of critics or lack of knowledge on how to go about this issue. With the proposed “Statewide Program to Provide Treatment Services for Children Exposed to Domestic Violence” bill these problems will become a thing of the past and make New Jersey habitable. Since there has been no policy that fully addresses this issue especially on statewide basis, I believe it is the high time to implement an Act that can help curb domestic violence cases. I am a New Jersey citizen whose urge to ensure community well-being remains well defined. I believe in change through potential and effective legislations especially on all areas relating to human well-being. Addressing domestic violence through a strong statewide evidence-based policy is the only effective approach through which domestic violence victims can enjoy the privileges of regaining their well-being after stressful and torturing experiences.
