Abstract

Discussion 2 Recruitment, talent management, and retention methods are changing as a result of the incorporation of data science and predictive analytics into HR decisions. Organizations can turn a subjective hiring process into a data-driven, objective one by utilizing predictive insights. This change increases overall competitiveness and improves the quality of hires. Traditional HR procedures frequently lack organized data, which can result in subjective judgments and the danger of hiring the wrong people. By using previous data to identify trends associated with successful recruitment, predictive analysis offers a solution. In order to systematically narrow down prospects and raise the standard of hiring, criteria including education, experience, talents, and scores are quantified. For instance, Xerox used algorithm-based recruitment to reduce attrition after realizing that contact center newbies and creative thinkers produced the best outcomes. The talent pool is widened and attrition is decreased by this strategy. Predictive analytics supports retention and leadership development efforts in addition to recruitment. Proactive strategies to reduce attrition are made possible by data-driven insights into employee behavior, job satisfaction, and resignation patterns. Managers can use predictive analysis to match human resources with business goals and foster global competitiveness. Setting up data-based hiring criteria, as done by a Fortune 500 organization, can increase the number of high-performing hires and decrease the number of low performers. In conclusion, the application of data science to HR improves talent management and makes hiring more objective. Using predictive analytics, businesses may improve their human resources and respond to market demands, giving them a strategic advantage. This transformation changes the whole job landscape in addition to helping specific firms. For businesses to remain competitive in the modern marketplace, investing in data science resources becomes essential. Reference Aggarwal, V., CTO, & Minds, A. (2015).
