It took Madoff so long for his un-ethical marketing strategies to become exposed which means that quite a significant large number of people suffered in the long-run. Your post best define the positive and negative effects that the main stakeholders of Madoff would face in the current and long-run upon failure of the scheme. Based on your text, the government (SEC) being among Madoffs stakeholders was entitled to express its credibility in regulating the way this scheme worked which upon failure ruined its reputation as a body that ought to enhance transparency and law adherence while running a business.
