The Evolving Landscape of Health Science: Climate Change, Pain Management, and Nutritions Impact on Mental Health

Date: 24th February, 2022 Subject: Current trends in our industry Hello, Ms. Smith. You asked me to conduct research on the current (and emerging) trends in our industry. I have completed that work and can report that the top three health science are impact of climate change, growth of pain free pain management, and understanding how nutrition impacts mental health. Here are details on the top three trends of note. First of all, climate change has been of great concern in all fields but has a great impact on health science. People will be required to learn to live in a world enveloped with different weather patterns which presumably will be warmer than what they have been experiencing. In this case therefore, health science experts are expected to play an important role that could help find solutions to mitigate global warming and help people adapt to the expected changes health professionals have always worked harder trying to motivate people to change their patterns and behaviors as far as making choices about environment protection is concerned but the climate change has proved to be a problem and has placed humans in a situation where they will have no otherwise but to learn how to adapt. Research has revealed that suicide rates are higher during the hotter months and there are concerns that the suicide rates might even go higher during the hotter months by the year 2050 (Burke et al., 2018). Therefore, mental health providers should come up with solutions to curb this potential worrying trend. As far as health science is concerned, Opioid crisis has changed how the health system responds to chronic pain and as a result, it is evident that people with chronic pain gradually become addicted to Opioids (Dassieu et al., 2019). For the future safety of the patients with such conditions, there is more emphasis to treat such patients by application of non-pharmacological methods which may include but not limited to psychological treatments.
