Abstract
Discussion 1 Using at least two articles as supportive research, discuss two contemporary human capital topics that have impacted your workplace or that you foresee impacting a business. There are many contemporary human capital issues that impact workplaces and calls for prompt attention of the human resource management to enhance flow of operations and overall success of the organization. However, competition for the best talent is among the contemporary human topics that impact my workplace. It is open that a successful organization must identify itself with a potential competitive advantage. In this case, my workplace always strives to maintain its best talents as well as attracting the best talents to enhance its potentials in delivering to the changing dynamics in the competitive markets. According to Carole (2016), other than competing in sales and marketing, organizations human resource executives are using emerging science to guide them in workforce decisions like maintaining and retaining the best talent to enhance realization of the set organizational goals. It is imperative to note that with the best talents, an organization is able to achieve its set short and long-term goals most effectively due to availability of defined skills and the spirit of working together for a mutual course. Another topic of concern is talent filtering which proves a demanding issue within my workplace. According to (Cascio & Aguinis, H. (2018), the human resource ability to attract the best talent depends on the applied system in talent filtering. Unfortunately such potentials demand defined approaches from the human resource department to ensure that the most deserving talent gets an opportunity within the organization to enhance prompt response to the job specifications demands.
