Abstract
Instructor’s Name Due Date Introduction There is an increase in demand for personal development due to the digital technological revolution in the employment space and an increase in opportunities for non-standard workers acting as a driving force for workplace training. After interviews and employment employees need training and integration into the company’s systems and culture for the productivity and objectivity of a company. Beefsteak is a vegetable-oriented company and training and learning are paramount to ensuring tasks and services are executed effectively. Management is the pillar of an organization and provides a framework in which operations occur. Beefsteak will need a competent manager with leadership skills, emotional intelligence, and problem-solving capabilities in everyday activities and in cases of crisis. These skills in can be integrated in employees of an organization through training. This paper will discuss the various training and developmental outcomes beefsteak needs to employ to enhance a practically efficient organization. Methods of Training and Development Outcomes. The various training and developmental methods include; Presentation: Beefsteak needs authentic and confident employees in speech. Presentation involves lectures and video shows that impact trainees with real-life experiences. Hands-on methods: This type of training involves on-the-job training, self-directed learning, apprenticeships, and simulation (Cascio & Aguinis, 2019). On-the-job training involves trainees learning the workplace culture and observing how their peers are executing their duties. This criterion can be done through onboarding and job rotation. Research shows that on-the-job training is effective in upskilling recruits and existing employees improving employee performance and productivity of the company (Mvuyisi & Mbukanma, 2023). Seld-directed learning training methods involve integrating trainees into the workplace system in all aspects of learning mastering the necessary information within their capacity. Apprenticeship is a work-study training technique. For instance, integrating classroom training with real-life experiences. Another hands-on method is simulation. This method mirrors real-life situations and transfers skills to trainees in critical situations. The simulation method includes; (1) the case method where employees identify solutions and offer solutions and (2) the incident method similar to the case method except that the trainees have a sketchy outline of an incident. The solutions to the problem are provided by the trainer and the trainees can compare with theirs (3) Role playing is a method where trainees break down into small groups and offer solutions to their problems. The groups will then discuss their solutions to the problems (4) Experiential exercises where organizational psychology is integrated with real-life experiences. The Group Building Method: This method improves the effectiveness of a team or group. This method entails adventurous learning, team training, organizational development, and action learning (Cascio & Aguinis, 2019). Adventure learning involves sourcing leadership skills through structured activities. Team training integrates trainees into incorporating other people’s beliefs, behaviors, attitudes, and culture, and improving communication. It also improves the effectiveness of teamwork in solving complex problems. Action learning involves the development of novel ideas and problem-solving activities. Organizational development involves action research and formulating action plans on developmental criteria in a company. Technology-Based Training: This type of training involves employing technology to deliver content and facilitate learning through webinars, e-learning, podcasts, shared workspaces such as Google Docs, social media, and virtual simulations. Technologically based training traverses geographical boundaries and inconveniencies that hinder training with traditional training methods. Technology-based training creates a dynamic environment facilitating collaboration, customization, and learning control (Cascio & Aguinis, 2019). Assessing the methods of training and development. The on-the-job training method is the most effective method of training. This method is very practical and integrates the trainee into the organizational culture. For instance, through rotation training businesses benefit from employees who are productive right from training. On-the-job training enables employees to build trust and saves money and time since it instantly gels trainees to the workplace. This method is also easily applicable and provides more direct results than collecting results from scattering training methods.
