External Analysis of Car-Mart Inc America’s Car-Mart Inc is a unique automotive retailer based in the United States whose focus is on the integrated auto sales and finance segment of the used car markets (Morningstar). America’s Cart Mart Inc and Colonial Auto Finance serve as the main operating subsidiaries that handle this company’s operations. What differentiate America’s Car-Mart from other automotive retailers within America is that other than selling older model used vehicles, it provides finances for all its customers. It is differentiating sales/marketing strategy that enable this company earn revenue from sales used vehicles, a related service contract, an accident protection plan product, interest income and late fees from related financing (Morningstar). Having been in operation since 1981, America’s Car-Mart has continued to hold its tradition of serving hard-working Americans through provisions of used car-financing as well as delivering quality used vehicles at an affordable price which proves a very potential strength that makes this company outshine other retailers within the same market (About Us). It is also open that its mission that aims at providing Americans with quality vehicles, affordable payment terms and excellent service serves as a guide that offer this company an opportunity to attract and maintain its customers within the automotive industry. Based on a report from the corporate profile, America’s Car-Mart has 154 locations of dealership in twelve states which proves a great opportunity for this company to reach more of its targets and market its services/products to a wider base thus improving its status as the largest held automotive retailers in America and beyond (Corporate Profile).
