Abstract
Instructor’s Name Abortion is one of the most debated topics in the last five decades, bringing a lot of controversy on its eligibility. Abortion involves terminating a pregnancy before normal childbirth. Some people find it okay to terminate a baby, but others find it absurd and wrong. Women get abortions all over the world based on various reasons. The debate on abortion surrounds its legality, moral ground, and religious status. Abortion is an intriguing topic to men and women who are victims of the process. The myths and misconceptions surrounding the topic of abortion make it more difficult to undertake. Abortion is the murder of the innocent. Life begins at conception, which involves the union of the male and female gametes through fertilization. Some people argue that it is not a baby they are killing, but what is it? A cow? A bird? There is no reasonable excuse that can prove the necessity of abortion. The justification for the legality of abortion is senseless and should be abhorred in society. The ethics surrounding abortion proves it wrong. The level of conscience one should have to perform an abortion is overwhelming. Human law governs the morality of society distinguishing between good and evil. This natural law depicts a set of rules and regulations that guide the morality of abortion. It is a crime. Abortion is the attack of God’s work which bears his image (Kilner 2015). The Bible bears all sorts of truth just like the human law perspective. The ten commandments encompass the law “You Shall not Kill” (Exodus 20:13). God knows the work of the unborn just like those outside the womb. The consequences of abortion can be traumatizing and life-changing. The complication and deaths surrounding abortion are very high. When victims of abortion get to hospitals when they incur complications, they find it terrifying and shameful to admit that they have had an abortion making them wait for...
