Reflective Analysis on Educational Inequalities
Race in America is a term that defines the differences between whites and people of color in the United States of America. It is unfortunate that though a democratic nation, many Americans become subjected to racism, limiting their potential to enjoy their fundamental human rights to the fullest. Education, job opportunities, healthcare, to mention a few, are among the privileges that define inequalities between the white and the people of color as attributed to racism. Paying close attention to education, it is unfortunate that though it serves as strong pillars in defining human beings' future, blacks and whites do not acquire, enjoy, or utilize it in equal portions. The blacks have since time immemorial been denied equal opportunities to education compared to white, making them end up in poverty and leading miserable lives after that. However, scholars like Sonya Douglas and Shawn Aarango have come out clean to enlighten the Americans on the need for education equalities regardless of race. Blacks deserve better education just like any other human being, which calls for the American education system's enforcement of equality rule.
