Project Approach Plan Community
Offering the STEM curriculum from a young age prepares children to solve more complex problems in their later education. The project approach is an important strategy based on evidence that children begin understanding and learning STEM concepts early in their development (Clements & Sarama, 2016). The current project on the community is for a pre-kindergarten classroom of twenty children aged between three and five years old. At this age, children begin exploring their environment and can relate classroom concepts to their real-world experiences. I will conduct the project with the full participation of the children by encouraging them to explore and investigate the topic of the community (Chard, 2016). The project will involve classroom and field activities that will provide an interesting approach to learning new skills and gaining knowledge through classroom participation.
