A healthy mind holds memory whereby it can acquire, store, retain and retrieve such information or events later. The memory palace employs Loci which serve as a significant technique that triggers a memory of the past events. However, it is imperative to note that the memory palace technique changes one's memory into images and places such images in a familiar mental location. To this effect, loci are these specific and familiar mental locations that the memory palace employs to store the image-like memories for easier remembrance. Therefore, one can argue that loci play a major role in enhancing memory as the mind can quickly remember an image-like event connected to a familiar location within it. Loci enable a person's mind to keep seeing the saved image while connecting it to the exact event it is expected to recall. For this reason, the mind keeps visualizing the familiar environment, giving the brain new information that enhances the memory of such events/information.
