The non-intervention was a significant venture for the American government, considering that the world war's happenings were almost fatal at the point that the United States decided to enter into war. Sentimental attachments to any foreign nations tend to lead to unrealistic ideas. Such tends to promote the U.S government into involvement in wars that are usually unrelated to its real interests. The founding presidents meant the philosophy of non-intervention to reflect peace, commerce, and honest friendship with all nations, entangling alliances with no nations (Corbett et al., 2017). It was, therefore, for the U.S government to pursue the policy of non-intervention.
